Stop by to see me at Maker Savvy!

I am thrilled to be the new in-house longarm quilter at Maker Savvy in Kanata, Ontario! They are the local Bernina dealer and quilt shop that helped me reassemble my longarm last August, and when their previous longarm quilter retired they reached out to me to see if I was interested in renting the space. It was an easy yes, although, it was not the quite as easy to get all of my international paperwork squared away!
It will be nice to work out of a quilt shop surrounded by inspiration, and I will be able to interact with other quilters and makers to keep my creative juices flowing. My office hours at Maker Savvy will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, but I will be working limited hours in August while my kids are home for summer holiday. It will be nice to be able to bring some work home when needed, and better yet, to be able to work on my own projects at home when I am working on client quilts at the studio.
I am pinching myself, because this shop is only about 5 minutes from my home and I have flexibility to be available for my kids when needed. My basement studio at home has been a bit chilly and lonely, so I am looking forward to this opportunity. I hope to see some of you in the shop and look forward to chatting with you about how I can help you finish your newest projects!
